Les élèves confondent parfois les verbes "être" (to be) et "avoir"(to have)
la conjugaison est simple :

1) Forme affirmative
: j'ai, tu as...
I have, you have, he has, she has, it has, we have, you have, they have

2) Forme négative
: je n'ai pas, tu n'as pas....
I have not ou I haven't, you have not ou you haven't, she has not ou she hasn't, it has not ou it hasn't, we have not ou we haven't, you have not ou you haven't, they have not ou they haven't

Haven't ou hasn't sont plus utilisées surtout à l'oral

3) Forme interrogative : as-tu? a-t-il?
Have I ? have you ? has he ? has she ? has it ? have we ? have you ? have they ?

En anglais américain, on peut aussi utiliser "do you have ?"
